The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has rolled out the schedule for the aspirants who successfully passed the written exam of Central Industrial Security Force (Assistant Commandants) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2013.
58 Shortlisted candidates are requested to attend the Personality test from 16 December - 20 December. Dress code for the interview is the uniform along with the identity cards as well as two passport sized photographs (4cm.x 5cm. approx) taken recently should be carried along. The interviews would be conducted in two sessions - morning (reporting by 9 a.m.) and afternoon (reporting by 1 p.m.)
About the Personality Test:The interview carries 200 marks in which candidates will be asked questions of general interest as well as from their own field. An unbiased Board would broadly assess the candidate for the following among other aspects:
(i) Physical Make-up
(a) Appearance
(b) Bearing
(c) Manners and Mannerism
(ii) General Intelligence, Aptitude and Interest
(a) Ability to perceive, analyse and present facts and situation.
(b) Work related aptitudes, like discipline, empathy etc.
(c) Extra-curricular activities-participation in games, sports, debates etc.
(iii) Disposition
(a) Leadership, drive, determination, quick decision making
(b) Self-reliance.
(c) Ability to face stress and crisis.
(d) Courage-moral and physical.
(iv) Behavioural aspect of personality
(a) Inter-personal relations with superiors and subordinates.
(b) Commitment to values, integrity, secular and national orientation.
The CISF is a premier multi-skilled security agency of the country, mandated to provide security to major critical infrastructure installations of the country in diverse areas. CISF is currently providing security cover to nuclear installations, space establishments, airports, seaports, power plants, sensitive Government buildings and ever heritage monuments. Among the important responsibilities recently entrusted to the CISF are the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, VIP Security, Disaster Management and establishment of a Formed Police Unit (FPU) of the UN at Haiti.
